Kaliningrad

Kaliningrad (former Königsberg) was founded in 1225 by the Teutonic Knights. It became a part of the Soviet Union after World War II. One of the greatest philosophers - Immanuel Kant - worked here at Königsberg University. He is buried in the Königsberg Cathedral.
